North Kazakhstan farmers forecast not very good crop

Farmers of the North Kazakhstan region agree that because of the drought the grain crop will not be very good, reported “Kazakh-Zerno”.
Local grain growers hope that if everything is good the average yields will be about 8-10 quintals per hectare. Their forecasts are so pessimistic because of lack of moisture in the soil. There was good rain in the end of July but this was not enough for the normal development of the crops. Moreover, the rain had gone only in several fields, some of the crops remain very dry.
Nevertheless, farmers are happy that they do not need to plow fields, and that they will receive at least some harvest.
Now farmers have already begun preparations for the harvesting campaign. The harvest is scheduled to begin in the middle of August.
