North Kazakhstan farmers have started harvesting crops. Thus, according to the regional department of agriculture, from 1.9% of the area (which is 69.6 thousand hectares of 3573.6 thousand hectares of the total harvested area) in the region was gathered 96.1 thousand tons of grain.
We should note that the yield on the current date ranges within 13.8 q/ ha.
As previously wrote the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”, this year North Kazakhstan citizens are going to get no less than 5 million tons of grain, it was announced at a meeting on grain transportation by rail by the akim of the region Samat Eskendirov.
“The expected harvest this year – at least 5 million tons”, said the head of the region.
To ensure the safety of crops grown in the area there are 54 grain reception enterprises with a total capacity of 3.5 million tons, storage tanks for 2.7 million tons.
We recall that last year the North Kazakhstan growers harvested 4,951 thousand tons of grain, in 2011 – 8568.9 thousand tons.
