Production of sunflower oil in the North Kazakhstan region compared to January-October 2011 increased by 3.3 times, processed liquid milk and cream – by 26.7%, groats, meal and coarse flour and pellets, products from grain crops – 25 , 5%, poultry meat – 18%, pasta, noodles, couscous and similar products – by 11.1% compared to the same period last year.

According to the Regional Department of Statistics, the living wage in October 2012 was 16,520 tenge and compared to December in the previous year increased by 20.5%. Cost of the food basket was 9,813 tenge.

The consumer price index in October 2012 compared to December 2011 was 104.4%.

In October, 2012 price increases were registered for wheat flour of extra-class by 4.1%, pasta, muffins – 3.1%, rye bread and rye-wheat bread – 3%. Also an increase in meat prices was marked by 0.3%, vegetable oil – 1%, dairy products – by 0.9%, the report said.

Thus, according to the monitoring of IA “Kazakh-Zerno”, on October, 27 in North Kazakhstan region wheat of 3 class was sold at 41,300 tenge ($ 274.06), wheat with gluten content above 27 percent – 43,300 tenge ($ 287.33), 4 class – 38,000 tenge ($ 252.16). Barley in the NKR is currently sold at 35,200 tenge per ton ($ 233.58). Flour of extra class in the region costs 60,700 tenge per ton ($ 402.8), and first-reate – to 58,200 tenge per ton ($ 386.21). Flour of second-rate grew to 55,100 tenge per ton ($ 365.64).

Prices of fruit, according to statistics, increased by 1.3%, vegetables – by 0.2%. A reduction in sugar prices was by 2.8%.
