At the beginning of this week farmers of South Kazakhstan fulfilled the plan for harvest by 60%. The region is expected to complete the harvesting campaign on August 10, reported in the regional department of agriculture.
The harvest in the region is in full swing and nothing except for forty-degree heat do not interfere with field works. Wheat and barley show the result of an average 18.2quintals of grain per hectare, writes the correspondent of the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
From 108 thousand hectares grain growers harvested 196.3 thousand tons of new grain. At the end of July last year, farmers threshed about 101 thousand hectares. The average yield of shoots in the region was within 9.4 tons per hectare.
