South Kazakhstan: Kumis rose in price by more than 16% in the past month

Consumer price index in the South Kazakhstan region in July amounted to 99.9%.

As noted in the regional statistics department, the consumer price index, characterizing the rate of inflation, in July compared with June amounted to 99.9% across the region. Prices for foodstuffs fell by 0.5% and for non-food goods and paid services increased by 0.2%.

In the food market in July statistics fixed a rise in prices for kumis – by 16.7%, dried apricots – by 4.9%, sausages – by 2.2%, beef – by 1.3%, fresh fish – by 1.1%, salt, sauces and seasonings – by 0.7%, and potato declined in price by 20.4%, eggs – by 7.6%, sugar – by 1.6%, rennet cheese – by 1.3%.

From fresh fruits and vegetables tomatoes became cheaper by 58.1%, peppers – by 57.9%, cucumbers – 22.4%, beet – by 14.5%, onion – by 8%, grapes – 4.2%, and rose apples – by 14.6%, cabbage – by 5.8%, carrot – by 3.6%, reports the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.
