As of today, grain harvesting in Kazakhstan is underway in eight regions: Aktobe, Almaty, East Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda, Pavlodar and South Kazakhstan.
As indicated in the summary of the Ministry of Agriculture, according to the regional department of agriculture, as of August 13 this year, agricultural producers harvested 830.5 thousand ha, which is 5.6% of the harvested area; it was threshed 1352.7 thousand tons; the average yield totaled 16.3 q/ha.
It should be noted that crop yields in the country is gradually reducing. So, on August 11, according to the summary of the Ministry of Agriculture, yield was fixed at the level of 16.6 q/ha, on August 12 – 16.4 q/ha, on August 13 – 16.3 q/ha, writes the IA “Kazakh-Zerno.”
We recall, on August 13, 2014 933.4 thousand tons of grain was harvested in the republic, and thus the yield was 12.2 q/ha.
