Yesterday in Kostanay a meeting was held on the issues of ensuring the shipment and transportation of grain of a new crop, as well as the products of its processing.
The head of “NC” KTZ” JSC Kanat Alpysbaev noted the relevance of the discussed agenda for a large grain-growing region, agricultural producers of which are interested in the smooth transportation of a new crop.
We recall, as previously reported the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”, according to the regional department of agriculture, in the region with an average yield of 12.5 q / ha farmers received 5 million 225.3 thousand tons of grain in the current year.
“At present there is no shortage of grain cars. Another thing is their effective use and proper turnover. An important part of the organized export of grain is the coordinated work of all participants in the transportation process, ” K.Alpysbayev said.
The reasons for which there are difficulties in organizing the transportation process and the quality provision of transportation services are known. This is the excessive downtime of cars on tracks due to the lack of round-the-clock work of elevators, untimely submission of plans for loading by shippers, processing of transportation documents.
“In addition, the interference of unscrupulous forwarding companies in the transportation process, which create unhealthy excitement and do not fulfill the obligations for provision of transport services, negatively affects the transportation process. All this creates tension in ensuring the transportation of products of the AIC of the republic,” the head of the Company summed up.
“As you know, to improve the situation with the delivery of grain to the mills of the South Kazakhstan region, a large operator of grain cars “Astyk Trans” JSC concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation on guaranteed provision of transportation of socially significant cargoes. Now the company will transport grain in accordance with the terms of contracts with grain market participants,” Alpysbayev reminded.
In his opinion, it is necessary to build a single chain of cargo delivery to the final user, ensuring transparency of the transportation process.
“The necessary number of covered cars will be delivered to the Kostanay operating division, and our partners should take responsibility for loading and unloading at the set time,” K.Alpysbayev concluded.
As a result of the discussion, a decision was adopted to implement a weekly monitoring of the delivery of cars, acceptance of urgent measures to level the situation, timely unloading of goods, attracting not only “Kaztemirtrans” JSC and “Astyk Trans” JSC to the market, but also other owners.
