Tomatoes and cucumbers fell in price on the counters of Kazakhstan shops – monitoring

According to JSC “Kazagromarketing”, for the period from May 12th to May 19th buckwheat has risen in price in Aktau by 12%, from 210 to 235 tenge / kg. The decline in the volume of cheaper products sold by weight in the retail price on the day of price monitoring has led to an increase in the price indices, the wholesale prices of cereals remained at the level of 200 tenge / kg.

Hen egg of the first category has become cheaper in Ust-Kamenogorsk by 10%, from 146 to 131 tenge / kg, and in Pavlodar – by 10%, from 150 to 135 tenge/kg. The seasonal decline in prices is due to an increase in egg production by hens and decrease in wholesale prices in Ust-Kamenogorsk by 4%, from 135 to 130 tenge /dozen, and in Pavlodar by 11%, from 135 to 120 tenge /dozen.

Tomatoes fell in price in Astana by 20%, from 498 to 399 tenge / kg, in Shymkent – by 14%, from 350 to 300 tenge / kg, in Taraz – by 13%, from 367 to 318 tenge / kg, in Kokshetau – by 10%, from 442 to 400 tenge/kg, in Kyzylorda – by 10%, from 390 to 350 tenge/kg, in Aktau – by 10%, from 390 to 350 tenge / kg. The increase in supplies of cheaper goods from the greenhouses of the SKR (mass ripening) and saturation of the market with it have led to lower prices. Wholesale prices for the week decreased in Astana by 14%, from 362 to 310 tenge / kg, in Shymkent – by 17%, from 300 to 250 tenge / kg, in Taraz – by 20%, from 320 to 255 tenge / kg, in Kokshetau – by 1%, from 353 to 350 tenge / kg, in Kyzylorda – by 12%, from 340 to 300 tenge / kg, in Aktau – by 9%, from 350 to 320 tenge / kg.

Cucumbers decreased in price in Taraz by 32%, from 321 to 217 tenge / kg, in Shymkent – by 24%, from 330 to 250 tenge / kg, in Petropavlovsk – by 20%, from 400 to 320 tenge / kg, in Kyzylorda – by 21%, from 380 to 300 tenge / kg, in Ust-Kamenogorsk – by 19%, from 467 to 378 tenge / kg, in Astana – by 17%, from 440 to 365 tenge / kg, in Kokshetau – by 10%, from 442 to 400 tenge/kg. The decline in prices is due to the arrival of cheaper products from Uzbekistan and the SKR to the market, reports the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”.

According to the monitoring, onion fell in price in Astana by 13%, from 134 to 117 tenge / kg, and in Ust-Kamenogorsk – 12%, from 165 to 145 tenge / kg. The increase in deliveries and decline in wholesale prices in Astana by 20%, from 100 to 80 tenge / kg, and in Ust-Kamenogorsk – 17%, from 120 to 100 tenge / kg, have led to reduction in price of onion.

Cabbage has become cheaper in Aktobe by 26%, from 159 to 118 tenge/kg, in Taraz – by 22%, from 102 to 80 tenge/kg, in Petropavlovsk – by 17%, from 145 to 120 tenge/kg, in Astana – by 14%, from 135 to 116 tenge/kg, in Ust-Kamenogorsk – by 12%, from 164 to 144 tenge/kg, and in Almaty – by 12%, from 135 to 119 tenge/kg. The decline in wholesale prices of early varieties of cabbage by suppliers has led to cheapening of products.

Carrot has risen in price in Pavlodar by 19%, from 105 to 125 tenge / kg, and in Shymkent – by 13%, from 80 to 90 tenge / kg. The seasonal rise in prices is linked to the reduction of inventories and an increase in the costs of pre-sale storage. Wholesale prices for the week increased in Pavlodar by 21%, from 95 to 115 tenge / kg, in Shymkent – by 38%, from 65 to 90 tenge / kg. Beetroot has risen in price in Almaty by 14%, from 145 to 166 tenge / kg, and in Taraz – by 10%, from 100 to 110 tenge/kg.
