Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Turkey Abzal Saparbekuly met with the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Turkey Nihat Zeybekci, during which the sides discussed the agreements between the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
A. Saparbekuly noted that in the light of the annual growth of exports of consumer goods of the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan to neighboring countries, the prospect of attracting investments in the country’s agriculture is increasing. He talked about the amount of wheat harvested in Kazakhstan, and drew attention to the possibility of exporting grain to Turkey.
We recall, as previously informed the IA “Kazakh-Zerno”, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Kazakhstan intends to export this year at least 9 million tons of grain.
The Kazakh diplomat also informed about the potential of meat production in Kazakhstan.
N. ZeybeKci, emphasizing the importance of bilateral agreements between the heads of Kazakhstan and Turkey, noted the existence of broad opportunities for cooperation in the agricultural sphere of the two countries.
He noted the high quality of meat products in Kazakhstan, and expressed readiness of Turkey to import Kazakh meat products.
“Turkey appreciates the quality of meat products in Kazakhstan, and is well acquainted with its taste. I am confident that imported Kazakh meat products will be in demand in the country, “the minister said.
The interlocutors agreed to study the issues of attracting Turkish investments to the agricultural sector, including the livestock sector in Kazakhstan, to export agricultural products to Kazakhstan, and also agreed to organize a working meeting of representatives of relevant institutions of the two countries as soon as possible.
