In the consumer market of West Kazakhstan region the prices of goods and services in December, 2012 compared to December, 2011 increased by 4.2%.
In December, index of food prices was 101.2%. Prices for confectionery products increased by 0.9%, oils and fats – by 1%, pasta – 1.4%, meat – by 1.6%, milk, cheese and eggs – by 1.7%, fruit and vegetables – by 2.6%. Tobacco prices rose 3.4%, said in the regional department of statistics.
In 2012, food prices in the West Kazakhstan market grew by 5.1%. Thus, according to observations of statisticians, increase in prices for pasta was 3%, cheese and cottage cheese – 3.4%, bread – 3.6%, confectionery products – by 4%, tobacco products – by 3.5%, bakeries and confectionery products – by 4.7%, meat – by 11.7%, flour – by 12.6%. Tobacco prices increased by 7%. During this period, the price of cereals decreased by 16.3%. Potato prices have fallen by 8.6%.
We remind, as previously reported IA “Kazakh-Zerno”, at the end of December in the west of the country the price of wheat of 3 class stood at 44,000 tenge per ton ($ 292.81). In the West Kazakhstan region flour of extra class, first- and second-rates was sold at 63,200 tenge ($ 420.58), 60,700 tenge ($ 403.94), 57,600 tenge ($ 383.31), respectively.
